My name is Avery Boyer. I am a sailor, a history lover, marine technician, canvas maker, and the man behind Aegean Canvas. After a year at St. John’s College in Annapolis, I realized that what I wanted most out of a career was proximity to the water.

I left St. John’s for the Landing School in Arundel, Maine, where I earned my certification in Marine Systems. I returned to Annapolis where I spent several years as a systems technician on boats of all sizes, working primarily in plumbing and electrical, before I discovered my love of canvas. After honing my skills at two canvas shops in Annapolis and Baltimore, I decided to go out on my own and establish a business for classic sailboat owners like myself.

My canvas is designed to complement the shape and historic look of each boat. As a businessman, I pride myself on communication and timeliness. Above all, I want to provide each and every customer with a great product and a great experience. Most of all, I want to make canvas for adventurers – whether your adventures are here at home in the Chesapeake Bay, or as far away as the Aegean Sea.
