“Currently I sail a 1984 Watkins 29. As I have been working on the boat and making my upgrades I interviewed several canvas companies to build a dodger, bimini, sail cover, helm cover and all the other parts that go with it. Some of these companies wanted to just rebuild my old dodger and others wanted to change everything to make it "more modern." No one understood that classic feel I was looking for until I found Aegean Canvas.

Specializing in sailboats, the Aegean team understood my obsession to preserve the historical look of the boat while making improvements for safety, like adding grab rails, increasing visibility and making sure things didn't move around in high winds. Additionally they went above and beyond to make sure the dodger looked as good on the inside as it did on the outside.

Attention to detail really came through with the curved corners of the windows keeping the classic look. The sail cover had a moisture barrier and chafe guard to make sure it lasted longer. In the bimini they added spots for LED lights. All little touches that only a sailor would understand. The Aegean team also recommended a matching life sling bag that I went for and it really helped bring the classic look of the boat out.

While they might not have been the cheapest company Aegean by far built a superior product to any that I have seen in my years of boating. Can not recommend them highly enough.”
